As advertised, Mike picked us up from the train station which was very helpful. After arriving at the B&B, we were offered tea and shortbread. The room was very clean and cozy. They have one other bedroom which is bigger, but it had already been booked. Maybe next time!

You won't find better hosts than Mike and Ann anywhere and we have travelled everywhere. Friendly, helpful, welcoming, after one night we felt part of the family. Fabulous breakfast and comfortable, quiet room. When we return to Scotland we will make sure we go to Edinburgh just to stay here.

We stayed here for 2 nights in June 2009, the first 2 nights of our trip to Scotland. My husband and I had one room, and my sister another room. Both were very nice and roomy. Mike and Ann were very good hosts. The location is good - easy walk to all the tourist attractions in the city, and close to several nice restaurants. Wonderful breakfasts, great showers, comfortable beds, very clean. Nothing is lacking. You can't go wrong here!

The room was lovely facing a quiet garden. Mike and his wife were lovely hosts and cook you a homemade breakfast in their beautiful house. The room was cleaned to perfection and you were made to feel very welcome.

Mike and Anne were truely welcoming - from the pick up from the airport bus to chatting while running out the door after our all too short stay. Room was clean and comfortable with nice touches. Not far from the centre of town and in a quiet area.

Anne and Mike Walsh are two of the nicest people one could hope to meet. They served an excellent breakfast of just the right proportion, cooked to perfection and set at an elegantly laid table. The home made preserves and bread are so good you will not wish to rush your enjoyment of them and if you are as lucky as we were you could well be entertained with live piano played by Mike who plays very well. My wife and I were charmed to bits and so comfortable we will return to Tantallon every chance we get from now on.

We were almost loathe to write a review of the Tantallon B&B as we wanted to keep the secret to ourselves...but great places with wonderful hosts such as Mike and Ann rarely stay secret for long and it seems that others feel the same way as we did about our stay.

We were amazed by Mike and Ann Walsh's B&B, their hospitality and service. This couple genuinely enjoy taking care of others. We lost our way getting to the place and Mike kindly came and found us and showed us the way to the B&B.

We were picked up at the bus station free of charge,the room was lovely with full en suite and tea making facilities. The hosts were brilliant, and the breakfast wonderful. All in all, exceptional value for money.

Amiable hosts, very helpful. Very nice and spacious en-suite room, very clean. Several books and files with information about sights and restaurants in the room. Quiet location, nevertheless only 15-20 minutes walk (slow-moving) to Royal Mile resp. Princess Street. Delicious Full Scottish breakfast, especially the fresh fruit which was prepared and served by Mike was great! In short: super B&B, it was marvellous at Tantallon House and we enjoyed our stay!!

The hospitality is amazing here. Ann & Mike are wonderful hosts. The breakfasts are superb and the room was excellent. There are too many little extra touches to list, that go to make up an overall fantastic visit. We have stayed in many hotels, guest houses and B&B's in Britain, and Tantallon is of the highest standard.

Stayed for two nights and enjoyed every minute. Having seen so many reviews on other B&B's in Edinburgh and only a few on Tantallon wanted to create our first review on Tripadvisor to let interested quiet couples know that we enjoyed our stay.
